Created by Em, a dog trainer, certified professional canine nutritionist, and retired veterinary technician with over 20 years of hands-on experience. Built on the belief that behavior is communication, not failure.
Many dog parents find this show after searching for answers to things like:
This isn't a podcast about fixing dogs. It's about learning to understand them — especially when things feel messy, emotional, or complicated. Episodes explore reactivity, enrichment, nutrition, and the emotional side of life with dogs, including burnout, grief, guilt, and the pressure to do everything right. Some episodes are practical. Some are emotional. Many are both.
Episodes about dog behavior, reactivity, nutrition, and the emotional reality of life with dogs — grounded in real experience, not shame or pressure.
Confused about dog food? This is where you start making sense of what may be contributing to feeding stress — and what actually helps in real life.
If you're stuck or tired of second-guessing, a free clarity call gives you space to figure out what actually makes sense next.

Em is a dog trainer, certified professional canine nutritionist (CPCN), and retired veterinary technician (LVT) with over 20 years of hands-on experience across veterinary medicine, behavior support, enrichment, and nutrition. She is the creator of The Dog Who Asked for More®.
But more importantly, she's someone who has lived the reality of loving dogs who weren't easy. She's been the professional, the educator, and the dog parent crying in the car, exhausted, wondering why nothing seemed to help the way she was told it would.
She didn't start this podcast because she had all the answers. She started it because she was missing honest conversations — the kind that acknowledge how complex life with dogs can be when behavior, health, or regulation don't fit the normal mold.
Her work focuses on helping you understand what's influencing your dog's behavior — including stress, environment, nutrition, enrichment, and the human-dog relationship — so decisions feel grounded instead of frantic.
Clarity without judgment. Education without pressure. Support without shame.
Many people find The Dog Who Asked for More after trying everything and still feeling like something isn't clicking. They're not failing — they're just missing a piece of the picture.
Listeners share that this show helped them:
Many describe this as the first place where their reality with their dog actually made sense — not because it offered quick fixes, but because it offered honesty, context, and relief.
