Full Bio

The story behind the work, the mission, and the heart of The Dog Who Asked for More.

Emily Breslin is a virtual dog trainer, certified canine nutritionist, enrichment specialist, and retired veterinary technician with more than 30 years of hands-on experience supporting dogs and the humans who love them. Rooted in veterinary medicine, canine nutrition, behavior, and lived personal experience, Emily’s work focuses on helping dog guardians navigate reactivity, dog food confusion, gut health, enrichment, and the emotional realities of raising big-feeling, misunderstood dogs.

Before becoming a trainer, Emily spent years working as a veterinary technician, supporting families through some of the hardest moments of their dog’s lives. After a life-changing brain surgery and the loss of her vet med career, she rebuilt her path through pet sitting, nutrition education, and behavior support—ultimately discovering that her purpose lived in helping overwhelmed guardians understand the dog in front of them, not the one they thought they “should” have.

Her podcast, The Dog Who Asked for More, was born from the resource she wished existed when she felt lost, alone, and unsure what her reactive dog needed. The show blends practical education with emotional honesty, creating a safe, judgment-free space for dog parents navigating reactivity, barking, anxiety, gut health, dog food decisions, and burnout. Through interviews with trainers, veterinarians, nutritionists, small business owners, and dog guardians, Emily explores the connection between behavior, nutrition, enrichment, and the human experience.

Emily is certified as a Professional Canine Nutritionist (CPCN), Family Dog Mediator (FDM), and Canine Enrichment Technician (DN-CET). Today, she offers virtual training, personalized nutrition and enrichment support, and a growing collection of digital resources—helping dog guardians build calmer, more connected lives through accessible, real-world solutions.

In every story she tells and every episode she releases, Emily’s mission remains the same: to normalize the conversations no one else is having, to replace shame with clarity, and to support dogs and humans through the messy middle of the journey—one compassionate conversation at a time.

About the Podcast

The mission, impact, and vision behind The Dog Who Asked for More.

The Dog Who Asked for More is a dog behavior and canine nutrition podcast built for overwhelmed dog parents navigating reactivity, dog food confusion, gut health, enrichment, anxiety, barking, and the emotional side of raising a big-feeling dog. What began as a personal lifeline during Emily’s own struggles with her dog has evolved into a trusted resource where guardians finally feel seen, supported, and understood—without judgment, pressure, or shame.

The show blends real-life storytelling with science-backed, practical education around behavior, dog food and gut health, enrichment, emotional regulation, grief, burnout, and the messy middle so few trainers talk about. Every episode offers relatable insight and actionable steps that make life easier for both dog and human, whether you're navigating reactivity, rebuilding connection, exploring nutrition, or creating a calmer daily rhythm.

With solo deep dives on Mondays and expert interviews on Wednesdays, the podcast features trainers, veterinarians, nutritionists, behaviorists, small business owners, and everyday dog guardians whose stories deserve to be heard. As the show prepares to go mobile on an RV tour, The Dog Who Asked for More continues expanding its mission: bringing honest conversations, accessible education, and community-centered storytelling to dog parents across the country.
